Adele says hello from the other side of infinity. Well actually, she was filmed performing "When We Were Young" inside of Yayoi Kusama's famous installation piece Infinity Mirrored Room -- The Souls of Millions of Light Years Away at the Broad in Los Angeles, after discovering the artist through Katy Perry's Instagram.

"I was so blown away by the photograph -- I had no idea what it was," she said in a video posted by the Broad. The footage then became the backdrop for her performance at the Brit Awards on February 24, which was heralded across the board (and shone brightly following her performance at the Grammys, which was disrupted by a microphone malfunction).

"I definitely felt like standing in that room for an hour, I saw things in myself and of myself that I haven't noticed before," she added, "you see different versions of yourself from every angle, and 'When We Were Young' is kind of based on my life from childhood up to now." When light is reflected off the mirrored surfaces of the room, it creates an illusion of endless space, which some have described as a magical experience.
