Andy Warhol once said, "I'm afraid that if you look at a thing long enough, it loses all of its meaning," a surer sign than any that the great pop artist needed the glasses he was rarely pictured without. That pair of softly rounded, transparent optical lenses (or the tortoiseshell sunglasses of the same shape) became as much a part of the 'Warhol look' as the platinum wigs or the pale fond de teint he regularly smeared on his face. And today, Italian eyewear brand RetroSuperFuture launches SUPER ANDY WARHOL Collection IV -- The Iconic Series: two contemporary interpretations of the iconic frames.

Bringing Warhol's stylistic legacy to the 21st century, the frames are available in either ANDY WARHOL IV OPTICAL, an interpretation of the artist's everyday look, or ANDY WARHOL IV SUN, sunglasses in silver hue with matching silver lenses by Barberini (silver being Warhol's favorite color). Both designs bear unique inscriptions on the arms and, what's more, they come in a very nice box. We like them and isn't that what pop art is all about?
