It seems Kanye likes 'em blonde. This morning, Kim Kardashian gave her legendary ass a break and decided to smash the internet with a different part of her body: her head. Mrs. West unveiled her new platinum 'do at Paris Fashion Week before the serially coordinated velveteen couple graced the Balmain FROW. But Kim is just one of many who has hit the peroxide bottle hard. To celebrate her shocking locks, we've rounded up our favorite jaw-dropping blonde moments, from Lil Kim to Lena Dunham. Based on this family's matching track record, we'll probably be adding North West to the list later on...

Isabella Rossellini in Wild at Heart: For her small, bank robbing role in David Lynch's cult crime thriller Wild at Heart, Italian bombshell Isabella Rossellini took a walk on the blonde side. As the frequent Lynch collaborator told Time Out's Paris Passion back in 90, she'd been gunning for a role with Frida Kahlo vibes: "I thought it would be interesting to play an attractive woman who is also very hairy," Rossellini said. "A year later, David calls me: 'I have a small part where you can have those eyebrows - but I also want you to have a blonde wig.'" Rossellini's choppy overdye was the perfect off-kilter complement to Laura Dern's natural locks, and in its own, weird way, Wild at Heart proved blondes really do have more (sick, twisted) fun.

Miley Cyrus: In case you forgot, Miley Cyrus' career was basically built on rapidly switching hair colors: she fictionally bamboozled scores of oblivious fans switching between an average brunette by day and blonde bubblegum pop sensation Hannah Montana by night. IRL, Cyrus heralded the death of her Disney days when she debuted a heavy duty peroxide quiff at the 2012 VMAs. It's been all bong rips and wrecking balls from there.

Lena Dunham: After her hilarious rendition of Sia's Chandelier blew up Late Night with Seth Meyers this summer, the Girls HBIC shocked us all when she posted her real-life blonde bowl cut to Instagram with the caption "change is good." Co-star Zosia Mamet later followed suit, switching up Shosh's pin-straight, mousey middle part for a chopped, cropped, platinum new look. If Alison Williams and Jemima Kirke suddenly hop on this train, Girls might have to change its name to Boy Band.

Jenny Shimizu: Everyone's favorite mechanic-turned-model Jenny Shimizu might be best-known for her super-short dark cut, but the Calvin Klein poster girl went platinum blonde for a lil minute in 2011. Yet when tying the knot with fiance Michelle Harper last summer, the androgynous icon went back to black.

Beyonce: We'd seen her rock microscopic cornrows in her Destiny's Child days, and even sport a full on afro as Foxy Cleopatra in Austin Powers: Gold Member, but Beyonce's most shocking blonde moment came in the form of a surprise pixie cut. Back in 2013, Queen Bey ignited the internet upon posting a selfie of her super short style on Instagram. Although the crop didn't last nearly as long as we'd have liked, it definitely resulted in its fair share of dropped jaws.

Lil Kim: "Black Barbie dressed in Bulgari, I'm tryna leave in somebody's Ferrari," Lil Kim once famously rapped (and she wasn't lying, either.) Long before Nicki Minaj even picked up the mic, the Notorious K.I.M. made a full blown transition into a plastic fantastic blonde bombshell, posing as an IRL Bed-Stuy Barbie for her now-iconic David Lachapelle shoot
