a taylor swift museum exhibition is coming to nyc
Selfies are encouraged at The Taylor Swift Experience, which hosts everything from baby photos to a previously unseen Met Gala gown option by Louis Vuitton.
Christmas is coming early for East Coast Swifties. While it looks like Taylor Swift herself is breaking with tradition and not releasing a biennial October album in 2016, a large-scale museum exhibition in the singer/songwriter/squad leader's name is currently prepping for its own national tour. The Taylor Swift Experience arrives at New York's South Street Seaport on November 18 after an extremely successful two years at its permanent home in Los Angeles's Grammy Museum. Due to the exhibition's unprecedented popularity, the New York edition will run all the way through February and come with a $9 entry fee, however it also boasts a wealth of fresh T-Swizzle artifacts — including the artist's 1989 tour stage costumes and a previously unseen Met Gala gown option designed by Louis Vuitton's Nicolas Ghesquière.
Permanent items in the Swift-curated collection include other tour costumes, red carpet dresses, plus childhood books, handwritten lyrics, baby photos, magazine covers, and a light-up dance floor for getting down to this sick beat. The Grammy Queen's iconic 2009 Moonman will even be on display in all its Kanye feud-prompting glory. Get your ticket ASAP, because this will sell out.
