pfw: mugler spring/summer 15
David Koma's second outing for the French fashion house was a sleek affair. Following on perfectly from his Resort show, it didn't have any cheap tricks but presented a totally wearable, clean and easy, sexy collection.
Dresses looked like they'd been sculpted straight onto the killer bodies of Karlie Kloss, Jessica Stam and Georgia May Jagger, with omega-chain-edged cut-outs revealing flashes of collarbone, curves of hip and washboard abs - the Mugler girl has always been athletic and long-time Thierry Mugler fan, Koma didn't let us forget it.
It looked like the whole thing was going to be monochrome, starting off blindingly white - you wouldn't want to risk taking those out of the garment bag unless for avery special occassion - then smart black, before splashes of baby blue and orange came out to play, accentuated by typical Thierry-isms like zips and thigh high slits. The Mugler girl is in good hands.
