As the younger sister of Girls star Jemima and musician-slash-doula Domino Kirke, 25-year-old actress Lola Kirke has talent running through her veins. Last year, she starred in the TV series Mozart in the Jungle and appeared in the feminist movie Free the Nipple as well as David Fincher's critically acclaimed Gone Girl. This year, she's following up her breakthrough performances with a supporting role in Noah Baumbach's Mistress America, set to release in August. 

What do you do and why do you do it?
I'm an actress and I do it because I like telling stories.

How did you start your career?
On the cutting room floor.

What was your big break?
I beat up Rosamund Pike in Gone Girl.

What are you working on at the moment?
Reading the newspaper more.

What advice would you give young people wishing to follow in your footsteps?
Take it easy and breathe regularly!

What's your party trick?
Talking to the coat check girl.
