anya taylor-joy thought legendary model scout was stalking her
'Oh shit, this is the end,' she thought when Sarah Doukas of Storm Model Management sidled up behind her.
It's a scenario thousands of girls dream about: strolling past Harrod's and being flagged down by a vehicle containing the legendary Sarah Doukas of Storm Model Management. It's also a scenario that is probably fairly creepy if you have no idea who Sarah Doukas is, as Anya Taylor-Joy discovered when she realized she was being trailed by a black car outside of the high-end London department store. The breakout star of Gothic horror film The Witch initially thought that Doukas, who is responsible for the careers of Kate Moss and Cara Delevingne, was a stalker. She started walking in the other direction in an unsuccessful attempt to lose the car.
"I thought 'Oh shit, this is the end,'" Taylor-Joy revealed in an interview recently. "So I picked up my dog and started to run." Luckily she heard a voice call out from the vehicle, "If you stop you won't regret it... please, there's someone in this car who would really like to meet you." The next day she was signed to Storm, and the rest was history — it was through modeling that Taylor-Joy met an acting agent and became this year's hottest new-wave scream queen. For future reference though, it's always better to be safe than sorry when being trailed by suspicious vehicles — even when this happens in the most exclusive shopping district in London.
