After 15 years as one of the world’s top womenswear designers, Stella McCartney makes clothing for men her new mission.
Stella McCartney has always made effortlessly cool clothes everyone wants in their wardrobe — understated, but no less glamorous. Stella has always nestled the sweet spot of style and functionality that not many brands have been able to fill. Stella has also been a trailblazer in sustainability; she has categorically refused to use any leather and fur in her collections since her label's inception in 2001. Staying loyal to her vegetarian lifestyle and the environmental responsibility she upholds, she uses recycled and regenerated materials to make her clothing. For 15 years, Stella's brand exclusively made womenswear and childrenswear; but now, the iconic British designer is adding menswear to her family of products.
Last week saw the launch of her inaugural menswear line, drawing on what the brand describes as " iconic art and subcultures across the eras" to reimagine timeless menswear pieces. Her newly released look book promises a collection of grunge-y cardigans, canvas slip-ons, logo tees, and slogan-embossed separates that we can't get wait to get our hands on when the collection hits stores in early 2017!
