Amilna Estevão

Where are you from? Angola.

What do you think about gender representations? Regardless of gender, I like people with different personalities because I think we can all learn something from one another.

What is the biggest gender stereotype we need to overcome and why? That women are weak!

Annika Krijt

Where are you from? Lelystad, The Netherlands.

What do you like most about your gender? That I have the opportunity to give birth and become a mother!

What is the biggest stereotype we need to overcome and why? That models are 'easy moneymakers' who only have to be pretty!

Ally Ertel

Where are you from? Florida.

What do you like most about your gender? The fact that we can literally bring life into the world naturally creates the most amazing combination of warmth and compassion along with determination and strength. We have beautiful bodies, open hearts, and powerful spirits.

What is the biggest gender stereotype we need to overcome and why? That women are the weaker sex in general and their value lies mostly in their appearance. There still aren't equal representations of women in positions of power in business or politics.

Steph Smith, 17

Where are you from? Waterloo, Canada.

What do you think about gender representations? I mostly think of people on an individual basis. I don't really apply traits from one person to another person, based solely on their sex. I'm appreciative of what makes someone unique.

What is the biggest gender stereotype we need to overcome and why? I would say the biggest misconception we need to overcome is gender roles themselves. It should be acceptable for males to do or wear things typically thought of as feminine, and vice versa. Categorizing people like we do puts everyone into boxes and limits their opportunity to enjoy themselves for who they are.

Rhiannon McConnell

Where are you from? Elizabethton, Tennessee.

What do you like most about your gender? We have never given up on having our voices heard. We fought hard so we could have the right to jobs and the right to vote.

What is the biggest gender stereotype we need to overcome and why? Hair is a huge gender stereotype: long hair on men, short hair on women, any hair on a woman's body besides her head.

Lineisy Montero

Where are you from? Dominican Republic.

What do you like most about your gender? Women have worked hard to prove that we have the same capacities as men. We also have developed more of a presence in other areas that according to society in the past were meant for men. We know how to combine elegance with bravery and strength.

What is the biggest gender stereotype we need to overcome and why? The absurd classification that exists in defining which job is meant to be for a man or a woman.

Varya Shutova

Where are you from? Russia/Kazakhstan.

What do you think about gender representations? Everyone is different.

What is the biggest gender stereotype we need to overcome and why? That women are weaker. They are not.

 Alice Vanessa Metza

Where are you from? Born in Inglewood, now live in Mid-City, Los Angeles.

What do you like most about your gender? Feeling beautiful and accepted in all of my femininity and how emotional and empathic women are.

What is the biggest gender stereotype we need to overcome and why? That only boys can wear blue and girls can wear pink or that unisex bathrooms are unethical. People are people. We may be physiologically different, but we are the same species: human.

Anabel Krasnotsvetova

Where are you from? Moscow, Russia.

What is the biggest gender stereotype we need to overcome and why? That a man must be at work, and a woman in the kitchen. We live in the 21st century, just let everyone do what they want to do.

Sabina Lobova, 17

Where are you from? Belarus.

What do you like most about your gender? A woman's mind.

What is the biggest gender stereotype we need to overcome and why? I think these days the lines are blurred and thankfully we don't have the stereotypes of former generations.

Angel Rutledge

Where are you from? Santa Clarita, California.

What do you like most about your gender? We get to create who we want to be. I like freedom of expression and I feel anyone can create that. In the past girls have been considered weak and scrawny but that's never the case. I've always pushed myself to be the toughest and strongest I can be, even at my worst points!

What is the biggest gender stereotype we need to overcome and why? All of them. There is no point in saying 'a woman belongs in the kitchen' and 'a man is more superior in the work place'. It's 2015, certain people need to stop living in the 20s.

Pooja Mor

Where are you from? I'm from India, born and raised :)

What is the biggest gender stereotype we need to overcome and why? People think boys can't be into their appearance and how they dress.
