A collaboration with J Brand aside, Proenza Schouler very rarely put their name to another product, so it's testament to the quality of Master & Dynamic's headphones that Jack McCollough and Lazaro Hernandez decided to work with them on three unique pairs. The all-black, cobalt blue and bright white leather sets are the epitome of New York cool (both brands hail from there). Master & Dynamic founder Jonathan Levine adds, "The capsule collection is the perfect marriage by two NYC companies that share a common love of fine craftsmanship and materials, specifically the pairing of leathers and metals."

The were connected by a mutual friend, and whilst Levine has long-admired their womenswear (and his girlfriend and business partner is a big collector), Jack and Lazaro also saw the collaboration as a rare opportunity to get involved with tech manufacturers and design their own personal headphones.

So how was it working with the guys? "It was a lot of fun," Levine says. "They love beautiful materials, like leathers and metals, are always pushing the envelope. I remember the first meeting well: there were leather and metal samples strewn all over a large conference table. We had a great time."

Only 200 of each design have been produced, so get your hands on these cool cans while you can.
