proenza schouler residency launches at selfridges
The downtown cool of the American duo’s store comes to London.
Proenza Schouler have opened their first UK in-store concept at Selfridges, in the Women's Designer Galleries. Spring/summer 15, ready-to-wear, accessories lines and a new archive-inspired swimwear collection will be available in the space that echoes the pairs flagship Greene Street store in New York.
"We're excited for this opportunity to bring our store concept to London," said designers Jack McCollough and Lazaro Hernandez who have brought their signature blue-blackened steel fixtures along with them, adding fig leaf palms, objects and art books.
Judd Crane, Selfridges' Director of Womenswear and Accessories says that this ability for a customer to step into a designer's world is proving immensely popular. "We have an increased interest in cross-category concepts. With this Proenza Schouler residency, we aim to ease their shopping experience and let them discover pre and main spring/summer 15 collections in a different way."
Proenza Schouler at Selfridges is open now.
