Formerly known as Rangleklods, the band that kept Scandinavia dancing through last summer with "Lost You," this is Blondage. Asked about the name change, the Danish duo (Pernille Smith-Sivertsen and Esben Andersen) told us that the old name didn't give them enough creative space to further develop their musical style. Now venturing into electronic pop territory, their first offering is "Dive," a single we're pleased to premiere exclusively on i-D.

It's a perfect track for this time of year. It's getting warmer but the winter melancholy hasn't completely vanished and ease of spring hasn't fully blossomed. There's an illusion of relaxed summer days and songs like "Dive" are needed to speed things up; the pop synth-sound making you want to fly while the darker lyrics keep you grounded.

"'Dive' is about being broke, but happy, wild and careless, and suffering the consequences." says Esben. "One of those hot summer days where you feel like the world is ending but you just don't care."

"Dive" is taken from their first EP Tambourhinoceros, which is due for release this year.
