David Lynch's feverishly anticipated Twin Peaks reboot won't be out until 2017, but the cult director's superfans can be immersed in his strange and wonderful world well before Christmas. A new book on the music of Lynch's movies is out now via publisher Hat & Beard, featuring unseen photos and ephemera from the director's archive plus interviews with all the artists who performed at the Ace Hotel's April 2015 benefit for the David Lynch Foundation. Sky Ferreira — who's also on a list of 200-plus actors and musicians set to star in the Twin Peaks remake — will be featured alongside The Flaming Lips, Duran Duran, Moby, Lykke Li, Karen O, Donovan, Jim James, Chrysta Bell, Tennis, Twin Peaks, Zola Jesus, and longtime Lynchian collaborator Angelo Badalamenti. A companion CD featuring a live recording of the Ace Hotel concert will also be included.

The 192-page hardcover, titled Beyond the Beyond: Music From the Films of David Lynch, will take readers on an exploration of Lynch's use of sound and music dating all the way back to 1977's seminal surrealist horror Eraserhead. It sounds like a lot to pack into 192 pages, but has nothing on the director's upcoming memoir Life and Work, also slated for 2017 — which is comprised of interviews with a whopping 90 of his friends, family, and collaborators.
