Erin Beatty and Max Osterweis of Suno presented a crisply conceptual collection for fall/winter 15. Playing with international influences in their signature style, the designers cited madwoman Bertha Mason of Jane Eyre as a guiding influence. Given Bertha's Jamaican background (as per Jean Rhys in Wide Sargasso Sea), the collection blended Caribbean and very British influences. Skirts with flowing zigzagged strips were layered over other, floral skirts, reggae-flavored knits hugged the body, and fair isle knits looked cozy in this sub-zero weather. Alice Lane's makeup featured smudged blackness on the eyes, and Odile Gilbert's hair creation was a charmingly flipped-over bun in a jagged barrette. She's come undone, but in the most beautiful way.
