Gucci has announced the publication of Epiphany, a gorgeous limited edition 'impressionistic book' of photography by Ari Marcopoulos, published by IDEA books. The photobook features images shot in Milan of Alessandro Michele's pre-fall 2016 women's and men's collections. Gucci fave Peyton Knight and other beautiful creatures wear the floral, frilly-necked designs with lace-up black leather accessories and glittering boots or metallic silver T-bar shoes in a high-flash and shadowy style that Gucci explain reflects "the direct and loose feeling" Marcopoulos is known for.

"For seven days we photographed Alessandro's collection. As the days went on our surroundings made me feel equally in Roman times of the past and solidly in the present and future," says Marcopoulos. "Above all we were having a good time, which would have pleased Dionysus," he adds, a cheeky reference to Gucci's iconic Dionysus bag.

Epiphany

will launch with a book signing by Marcopoulos on May 5 at Dover Street Market in New York, available to buy for just one month before sales move to Pitti Uomo in Florence in June, with a signing at Gucci Museo, and then on to a further signing in London, the details of which are yet to be confirmed. Each book comes with a fold-out, double-sided color poster and print postcard, all wrapped up in a pink bubble pack envelope with a holographic Gucci snake sticker on the front and screen-printed Gucci logo on the back.
