There's possibly more hope in trying to list the style ideas and famous names who weren't at the Chanel spring/summer 16 show in Paris than those who were. In a cavernous airport hangar, dubbed 'Aeroport Paris Cambon', Brit model Edie Campbell was the first to catch a flight on Chanel Airlines, wearing a pastel checked, double breasted, flared, nobbly wool jumpsuit. She was followed by a who's who of hot models, including Lexi Boling, Kendall Jenner, Mica Arganaraz, Lineisy Montero, Molly Bair, Soo Joo, Anna Ewers, Binx Walton, Lindsey Wixson, Jing Wen and Greta Varlese. Watching from the front row was Janelle Monae, Petite Meller, Jamie Bochert, Lily-Rose Depp and mom Vanessa Paradis, Jean-Paul Goude, Irene Kim, Kris Jenner and Cara Delevingne, who ran to Karl with little Hudson Kroenig at the end of the show.
From haute cagoules to tweed skirt suits with sporty baseball details, the clothing styles flew in from far and wide. There were printed mid-length skirts over matching trousers, sometimes looking Middle Eastern, other times more Indian-inspired. There was a definite 80s thread running through many of the looks, with bold geometric patterns on sweatshirts, tinsel flecked leather bombers, bright, abstract floral chiffon dresses and pearlescent frilly shirts and pleated skirts.
The accessories game was next level, as always. Seriously covetable clear plastic block heeled lace-up boots and monochrome velcro strapped sandals were mixed and matched with chunky silverwear for necks, heads and wrists, a silver versions of Karl's trademark fingerless gloves, woven snap-back caps, airplane brooches and mirror reflection skiing glasses.
