iconic early photos of debbie harry and friends
Blondie guitarist Chris Stein’s photographs document the band's early years and all their up-yours attitude.
In 1978, Blondie released Parallel Lines and broke into the mainstream music scene, altering the course of punk rock forever. Between frontwoman Debbie Harry and guitarist Chris Stein, Blondie oozed cool vibes without even trying. Providing a truly behind-the-scenes glimpse at the rise and reign of Blondie, Galerie Agèns Monplaisir in Paris is currently showing a selection of images from Stein's personal photo diary.
The exhibition, Chris Stein/Negative: Me, Blondie and the Advent of Punk, and its accompanying book are a first-hand account of Blondie's fame. Stein's photos include never-before-seen images of real rock n' roll royalty - think snapshots of Debbie just chilling with legends like Sting and Bowie. Blondie's legacy may be forever, but the photos are only up for another week, so get a look while you can!
The exhibition runs through October 11 at the Galerie Agnès Monplaisir in Paris.
