After 12 years at Gucci - and eight as Creative Director - it's been announced that Frida Giannini will be leaving the brand. CEO Patrizio di Marco (also Giannini's partner) will also be replaced by Marco Bizzarri, who is currently head of Kering's luxury-couture and leather goods division. Giannini will show her final collection for autumn/winter 15 at Milan Fashion Week in February, then move on, but no replacement has yet been named. François-Henri Pinault, chairman and CEO of Kering, was full of praise for the pair, commending their vision, creativity and passion. Now begins the speculation over who will take on the Kering company's biggest luxury brand.
