versace taps karlie kloss, lexi boling and caroline trentini
The trio front Versace’s black and color-blocked fall/winter 15 collection.
Karlie Kloss, Lexi Boling and Caroline Trentini are the faces of Versace's fall/winter 15 campaign. Styled in a bold black and primary color-blocked mini dresses, cut-out gowns, step-hem coats and thigh-high boots, the models are arranged on black-painted scaffolding against a cracked concrete wall that mirrors the catwalk backdrop and the newly revealed menswear campaign. Kloss looks like a serious badass in a logo-banded bra top, silver Versace lettered choker, patent over-the-knee boots and a Big Bird style shaggy jacket.
"My new campaign is pure Versace, remixed and revolutionized. The power of color, cut and the new #GREEK motif speak for themselves," says Donatella. Shot by Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott, the campaign treads familiar Versace territory with 80s-style bold color and branding - "The letters of VERSACE playfully decorate clothing, as if remixed by a DJ," says the designer. But she also looked to the internet age, layering coats with rash vest-style tops printed with what she has called the #GREEK print, describing the new icon as an "emoji."
The men's campaign feels more outdoorsy, with models River Viiperi, Oliver Stummvoll and Alessio Pozzi in active poses, wearing soft, luxury fabrics in natural hues.
