The brand combines digital runway and live performance for its latest act at Made LA.

Saint Laurent may no longer be Los Angeles based, but the stream of talent heading west is yet to slow down. On the June 11 — Hood By Air, the New York based label designed by Shayne Oliver — will be showing a special capsule collection as part of Made LA, a weekend of shows that includes Moschino's men's spring/summer 17.

In line with the industry trend for ready-to-buy collections, the entire offering will be available to pre-order during the show, landing on the brand's site a month later. This is something HBA would like to carry forward, making garments available after performances and presentations (sounds a bit like merch, which we're into). 

Speaking to Vogue, Oliver said: "I would rather create my own way of speaking to my customer as opposed to being a part of fashion's reformation of itself." For his LA show, musician Sean Bowie will be performing a one-off concert, coinciding with streamed online runway show. Once again, HBA is setting the runway agenda.
