stella mccartney’s new fashion film will melt your mind
Surrealist artist Philippa Price creates a world of psychedelic images and creepy clowns.
Enlisting the help of surrealist artist Philippa Price, Stella McCartney has created a short fashion film like no other. The Uncanny Valley invites viewers down the rabbit hole on a psychedelic trip to the Nevada desert. Price stops off at the eerie Clown Motel, an area which served as a nuclear testing site in the 1940s. A blend of sci-fi and film noir, the film is visually arresting and grippingly surreal. Starring models Megan Nison and Bradlye Soileau (Price's boyfriend), the film showcases both the brand's resort and inaugural men's collections. The film marks the start of a new editorial series call #StellaBy, whereby a selection of today's most exciting artists and creators are invited to reinterpret the brand's recent collections.
