Tragically, it's not called "Champagne Papi."

On Monday, Drake dropped the highly anticipated video for infectious single "Hotline Bling," which, due to its soft neon hues and geometric sets, racked up comparisons to the work of James Turrell. This chatter prompted the 72-year-old artist to note how "truly honored" he is to learn that "Drake fucks with me." But today, a different shade of Drake is making headlines: the "deep burgundy" hue of a just announced Tom Ford lipstick inspired by the 6 God.

The lipstick is part of Ford's Lips & Boys collection, a series of limited edition shades inspired by the notable men in Ford's own life. According to Billboard, the shade is one of 50 colors that will arrive next Monday (insert your own October's Very Own pun). Interestingly though, Drizzy's latest designer co-sign isn't Ford, but Philo -- he immortalized the designer in the braggadocious "Jumpman" lyric "lobsters and Céline for all my babies that I miss."

We'd be lying if we said we weren't slightly disappointed that the shade doesn't flex a mighty Drake pun. Sure, Mariah Carey is already doing a champagne-colored MAC collab for the holidays, which takes "Champagne Papi" off the table -- but think of the other possibilities. "Tuscan Leather" or even a goth moment inspired by his old, clever handle @DrakkardNoir would have been classics.

Nevertheless, we're excited that Ford is creating a bit more gender balance in the beauty world by bringing boys into the mix. The word is still out on whether Drake or other binary-bending rappers like Jaden Smith will actually rock the lipstick, but you never know. What a Time to Be Alive indeed.
