pfw: paul and joe spring/summer 15
Through the ages, the owl has come to be associated with wisdom and judgement. Featuring throughout the Paul and Joe spring summer 15 collection, the wise bird was seen adorning dresses, skirts and dungarees. Perhaps this was creactive director Sophie Mechaly's wise sentiment that women enjoy decoration as equally as they enjoy minimalism?
Turning 20 this year, it seemed only natural for Paul and Joe to have some birthday fun. Beginning with bold square prints, Mechaly moved onto stripes and 70s-esque swirls that took us on a real trip. Trousers were high-waisted, fitting to PFW's 70s trend, but flared and feminine in true Paul and Joe style. Denim hot pants were hot hot hot and i-D fell truly, madly, deeply in love with the fringed suede coat Devon Windsor rocked.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY PAUL & JOE! Here's to another year and another colourful collection bound to brighten up fashion week!
