Last night at The Glory, the new gay east end boozer that has a dedicated cabaret stage upstairs and mega disco downstairs, Jonny Woo launched Lypsnc 1000. Every Wednesday over the next 10 weeks, you can witness the talents of drag queens mouthing the words to their favourite songs in the hope of grabbing the £1000 prize.

Last night the cross-dressing contestants took turns with inventive takes on pop, show tunes and the downright obscuro. Helen Earth mouthed Britney's Perfume, Scarlett John Hansen did a Gaga number, Miss Givingdid some spoken word from Laurie Anderson, Galaxia Cocks flung herself around and the winner, Jonbenet Blonde, worked an authentic routine to a Chicago ditty. The bar has been raised, let us tell you.

Judges included me (Princess Julia), fashion designer Lucas Nasscimento and previous winner Fabulous Russella. The Woo-ster took to the stage in various character roles, giving side-splitting comedic performances that - if you're considering entering - you should take note of. Watch, learn, lip-synch!
