A still from "Rocky Horror Picture Show" via Susan Sarandon on Twitter

Remember Susan Sarandon's killer SAG Awards look? The actress wore a Max Mara power suit, a black bra, and nothing else. She killed it, and the internet loved it. (Well, the internet minus Piers Morgan: The British talk-show host and tabloid editor felt like Susan's outfit was inappropriate given she was presenting a tribute to her late friend David Bowie.)

Piers tweeted his take on the looks: "What's tacky is deliberately flaunting your breasts on TV for publicity." Assumedly, the idea here is that a woman's tribute to her friend is somehow overruled by her boobs. He even went so far as to say Susan was "disrespecting the dead," and told the "furious feminists" criticizing him to "pipe down." Susan, being an absolute legend, cooked up a killer response.

She posted the throwback photo above, with the caption "Today's #TBT is dedicated to @piersmorgan." Realizing the tide of the web was turning against him, Piers tweeted a final response: "Just for the record, @SusanSarandon, I think your cleavage is magnificent. I'd just keep it hidden for "In Memoriam" tributes. Love Piers x"

I'm sure we don't need to outline all the reasons this reply is patronizing, and about a mile off the mark. So we'll keep it brief. Beside needing to leave women's bodies alone in general, Piers probably shouldn't have told Susan what to wear when paying tribute to a man who was her personal friend and one-time lover, given she probably had a pretty solid idea of what Bowie would appreciate.

Twitter has sided firmly with Susan, with women and men flooding her with their own cleavage pictures out of solidarity. She's happily retweeting them all, proving that sometimes, the internet can be a wonderful place.
