Released in 1987, Dogs In Space set a precedent for cool house parties everywhere and is still one of Australia's most exciting and defining films. Directed by renowned director Richard Lowenstein it starred a young, slinky Michael Hutchence and featured a couple of cameos by multi-talented artist and uber-personality Troy Davies. Ecco Homo is the new film by Richard Lowenstein and Lynn-Maree Milburn (Memories & Dreams, Autoluminescent, In Bob We Trust) about Troy, who Richard has described as 'a living piece of art' and 'Australia's Andy Warhol' and will serve as an important snapshot of an exciting Australian era and one of its key characters.

The Melbourne International Film Festival runs 30th July -16 August.
