The battle of Instagram vs. the people wages on, as the social media giant flexes its censorship muscles yet again. It was only last week that Instagram came under fire for banning the body-positive hashtag #curvy (it's since been lifted, phew) and now it's causing controversy once more by blocking #EDM. Why? Because those naughty electro heads were apparently abusing the hashtag by sharing images that referenced nudity (how dare they!). "#EDM was being used to share content that violates our guidelines around nudity," said the photo sharing service to TIME magazine. Whether #EDM will live to see another Like remains to be seen, after all, look what happened to #aubergineemoji.
