a power suit, a bra, and nothing else: how susan sarandon owned the SAG awards
Susan Sarandon is who we all dream of being at 69.
When we grow up, we want to be Susan Sarandon. Obviously, she's a legendary actress, but to us she's even more of an icon off-camera. This is a woman who once described her experiences with psychedelia to the Daily Beast as, "I've done Ayahuasca and I've done mushrooms and things like that," and recently took the ashes of old friend Timothy Leary—the father of LSD—to Burning Man.
If that wasn't enough the now 69 year old actress got her first tattoo at 61, plus, when A$AP Rocky and Action Bronson gave her a shoutout on 1Train, she invited them to blaze one with her. She's also been campaigning hard for Democrat Bernie Sanders in his run for President.
Anyway, we love Susan, she's a true chiller. But last night, at the SAG Awards, she really came through for us. The look: a Max Mara snow-white power suit, with nothing but a black bra underneath and her daughter, Eva Ammuri at her side. Susan attended the awards to deliver a tribute to her late friend (and lover) David Bowie. She also photobombed the cast of Straight Outta Comption, which she called "one of best films this year!"
Word of advice—at the next event you go to, channel your inner Susan for a guaranteed good time.
