Lemonade was full of stand-out lines and references. But against all odds, it was the shout out to Red Lobster on "Formation" that really captured the world's attention. When Beyoncé sang, "When he fuck me good, I take his ass to Red Lobster" the planet pivoted as we realized she wasn't that different to us when it came to a mid-priced meal (the cheddar biscuits, tho).

In an interview with Red Bull Music Academy, producer Mike WiLL Made-It explains the line's origins. He reveals that Slim Jxmmi (one half of hip-hop duo Rae Sremmurd) came up with it during a freestyle songwriting session at Coachella. The only thing is originally the phrase was: "If you fuck me good, I'll take your ass to Margiela." When they presented the recording to Beyoncé, she chose to change it to the chain restaurant. While we have nothing but love for Margiela, we're not sure if that would have made it onto so many tote bags.
