Stacks of Marshall amps are instantly recognisable icons of rock and roll, identifiable by the swirling handwriting of the white Marshall logo and their distinctive "crunch" sound. Blending those most intimate of gig buddies, fashion and music, Marshall launched a range of eyewear at an industry-insider party at The Union Private Members Club on Greek Street last Thursday.

Marshall aficionado Jarvis Cocker headlined on the decks with support from Billie JD Porter, as a crowd of models, musicians, label heads and tattooists defied the Tube strike to attend. Like Marshall amps, the sunglasses and optical frames are lovingly hand-crafted; made from metal, acetate and leather, the 60-piece collection borrows names from rock luminaries including Jimi, Joey, Mick, Nico, Lou and Amy.
