Next month the Kaiser of Chanel will be heading to Cuba's colourful capital, Havana, to showcase his latest cruise collection for the French fashion house. While he's there, Karl will take some time to open an exhibition of his photography. He's known for shooting his own campaigns, so you're sure to have seen his images on the pages of i-D. The show, titled Work in Progress, is part of a month long celebration of French culture in Cuba, exhibited at the Factoria Habana from this 28 April until the 12th of May.

Work in Progress features 200 photographs grouped according to subject material—interests that span far beyond the length of his catwalks, including architecture, landscapes and (hopefully) a few obligatory cat photos.

The show follows last year's Karl Lagerfeld: A Visual Journey at the Pinacothèque de Paris. In the film Lagerfeld Confidential Karl explains, "what I like about photographs is that they capture a moment that's gone forever; impossible to reproduce." This is probably why we're still waiting for him to jump on the Snapchat bandwagon.

Only one question remains: with Cuban temperatures creeping into the high 20s in May, will Mr. Lagerfeld will leave his leather gloves back home in France with Monsieur Choupette?
