Millie Bobby Brown, the 12-year-old British actor who has been the breakout star of Netflix Original series Stranger Things since it started streaming last month, took to Twitter on Sunday to share footage of the day she shaved her head to play Eleven: the show's Eggo-eating telekinetic.
"'My mom was like, 'No! That's not happening'," she told Elle last week. "I was like, 'Mom. You need to chill out; it's gonna grow back.'"
According to Entertainment Weekly, Brown was convinced to shave her head when Stranger Things creators Matt and Ross Duffer showed her a magazine photograph of Charlize Theron as Furiosa in Mad Max: Fury Road, an inspiration she references in the clip below.
"Within 10 minutes we had shaved it all off and slapped a fake '11' tattoo on Millie's wrist," the Duffer Brothers say. "Millie looked at herself in the mirror, gave her best Furiosa scream — and Eleven was born."
