From Gemma Ward to Cara Delevingne, we love a good supermodel turned actress and we can't wait to see how previous i-D cover girl Abbey Lee, turns her hand to the silver screen. As well as cameos in Alex Proyas' Gods of Egypt and George Miller's hotly anticipated, apocalyptic thriller Mad Max: Fury Road set for release this May, the Australian supermodel will star in Nicolas Winding Refn's latest film The Neon Demon. The Drive and Only God Forgives director's first foray into the horror genre follows pretty much an all girl cast, including Elle Fanning, as a gang of beautiful, maniacal models, ring-led by Sarah played by Abbey Lee.

"One morning I woke and realised I was both surrounded and dominated by women. Strangely, a sudden urge was planted in me to make a horror film about vicious beauty," Refn said about his inspiration for The Neon Demon, in the films official statement. "After making Drive and falling madly in love with the electricity of Los Angeles, I knew I had to return to tell the story of The Neon Demon."

The Neon Demon

is co-written with new talent Mary Laws and is set to start filming in the City of Angels at the end of March for a 2016 release.
