It's the season of philanthropic pop-ups, and former Smiths frontman Morrissey is launching exactly the one you would expect him to. The noted animal rights activist is planning an ephemeral MPORIUM to coincide with the sold-out show he's playing in Brooklyn on September 25. Fans who want an exclusive limited-edition tour tee, however, will have to travel a little further than the concessions stand at King's Theatre. Mozzer is hosting his pop-up at Sugar Mutts Rescue Dog Daycare in Bushwick, which is just a quick 55-minute bus ride (with transfers) from the concert venue on Flatbush Avenue. The MPORIUM will also stock 100 limited-edition bundles consisting of a numbered poster, pillowcase, and pen. Everyone who purchases a bundle will go in a draw to win a further signed poster. A fee and a percentage of the profit will go to Sugar Mutts.

"Sugar Mutts Rescue Inc. is an independent 501(c)(3)/non-profit, foster based rescue group founded by animal lover Amy Marciano based on the firm belief that all dogs are created equally," Morrissey wrote in a Facebook announcement of the pop-up. "Their dogs are rescued directly from high-kill shelters, whether it be Animal Care & Control in New York or various shelters where thousands are euthanized every year due to lack of resources and lack of space."

The MPORIUM is open 10am-6pm on September 24 and 10am-5pm on September 25. It will mark Morrissey's first collaboration with Sugar Mutts, but is hardly the first time the meat-free musician has creatively advocated for animal welfare. Just last month he launched a vegetarian video game alternative to Pokémon Go, soundtracked by The Smith's 1985 studio album Meat Is Murder
