Hello, new music fans! The world still isn't in the best state, is it? Apparently, Planet X is due to collide with earth tomorrow, 23 September, bringing with it armageddon. So cancel those Saturday plans now because fake news is going to kill us all in the end. Before that happens, it's imperative that you listen to our new music playlist. We've trawled through the new offerings, peppered it with some lesser known stuff, and tied it all up with a pretty bow for your listening pleasure.

First up, it's what you clicked through for: Yung Lean's new single, Hunting My Own Skin. With it, the 21-year-old artist, who has already collaborated with Frank Ocean on Blonde and popped up in the #MyCalvins campaign, announced this morning that he will be following up his Warlord album with an LP called Stranger. Due for release on 10 November, ahead of his live shows at London's Roundhouse on 12 December and Manchester's Albert Hall the following day, here at i-D we were treated to a sneak preview of the record and can confirm that it is very, very, good indeed. Yung Lean and his Sad Boy friends made us a mixtape once, which you can listen to here.

If you can resist the urge to just play Hunting My Own Skin on repeat, you'll enjoy new sonic treats from the likes of unapologetic alt-pop provocateur TORRES, the band not the Pokemon Gengahr, and the ever-reliable Wolf Alice. Meanwhile, flame-haired Mariah Carey fan Rina Sawayama contemplates the afterlife, Tommy Genesis sings about herself in third person, and Morrissey pulls a sickie with Spent The Day In Bed. Plus, expect more from Maggie Rogers, Shame, Ross Blake, Wretch 32, Snoh Aalegra, Coucou Chloe, and much more. If you know what's good for you, you'll follow us!
