Having a broken leg can still look hot (or hop), as Belgian model Hanne Gaby Odiele discovered.

23-year-old model Hanne Gaby Odiele snapped a bone in her left leg running through the airport to catch her flight to Milan, after she fell really hard on her knee. As she was all by herself, diligent Hanne decided not to make a fuss. Instead she boarded the plane and waited patiently until it landed in Milan, before she hopped in the first taxi straight to the hospital. "I wasn't in the hospital long," Hanne admits, ever the professional. "They gave me this cast for my leg and I went straight to the job afterwards and somehow the photographer and stylist made my cast part of the story!" So now Hanne's striking a pose in the hotel, and bringing the hospital crutch its Milanese fashion moment (at long last). Of course there have been some setbacks, like "not being able to get to anything that's not within arm's reach," but the ever-optimistic model - whose life motto is "YES!" - keeps on looking on the bright side. "I actually had a much worse accident four years ago," she says. "My career and my walk have only become better after that, so I'm feeling like this accident can only make my walk more fierce. You know, it adds a bit of a signature style!" Hanne's triumphant return to the spring/summer 12 catwalks this September should be quite spectacular, but until then she's happy just enjoying life: "I got my cast off in May, and the first thing I did was go to a BBQ on a friend's roof to celebrate."
