taschen announces the ultimate naomi campbell coffee table book
The beauty, the face, and the body of Naomi Campbell all come together in 268 pages.
The beauty, the face, and the body, for more than 30 years, Naomi Campbell has broken boundaries and dominated the world of modeling. Now she's being immortalized by publishers Taschen in the ultimate tome about her life and work. The signed, limited, two-volume Collector's Edition, sees archive photographs of Ms. Campbell by fashion's favorite photographers, such as Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott, Richard Avedon, Steven Meisel and Paolo Roversi in a book that spans the 80s, 90s and 00s.
The second volume includes an autobiography that documents Naomi's early life in South London, following her across the runways of the world and her close relationships with fashion luminaries such as Azzedine Alaïa and Gianni Versace, who were both instrumental in the success of her career. Presented in a custom-made acrylic box shaped like Campbell's décolletage by top British artist Allen Jones, it attempts "not to illustrate Naomi, but to encapsulate her," according to Jones himself.
The 268-page Collector's Edition of 1,000 numbered copies will be signed by Naomi Campbell and is out later this month.
