The BFC Fashion Trust is the charitable arm of the BFC, dispensing money and mentoring to worthy and talented young brands, and helping young graduates with paid placements at major brands. Previous recipients of money have included Marques’ Almeida, Mother of Pearl, Palmer Harding, Rejina Pyo and Sharon Wauchob; and now, Aries, Nabil Nayal and Teija will join them, receiving support for 2018, sharing £380,000 between them.

Founded in 2011, and now supported by HSBC, over the past seven years the trust has given over £1.6m to 39 designers, with everyone form Christopher Kane to Gareth Pugh to Hillier Bartley receiving financial and technical support to help develop their businesses.

In a statement the BFC said that this year’s recipients were chosen “for their exceptional effort and development in the areas around e-commerce, sustainability, production and wholesale expansion. We believe it’s important that London stays the most creative place for fashion and the support we are able to offer from the Fashion Trust is a truly unique opportunity.”
