Enter the sounds of Pedram. With beats big and bleepy, and an almost industrious techno funkiness running through his tracks, the Sheffield-based Persian prince of beats has been enjoying support recently from the likes of Four Tet, Paul Woolford James Zabeila and Pedestrian, to name but a few, and has been snapped up by Zabeila for his Born Electric label.

His latest release comes in the form of Cloned. A melodic yet fierce and jungly numer, the track toys with your emotions. Gritty, stomping drum patterns and haunting synths conjure dark vibes and futuristic dystopian scenes, while the shards of melodies cut through, letting you know there is still light in Pedram's seemingly dark musical heart.

The EP features B side Lex, which comes with three remixes from Fabric resident and all round don Craig Richards, a man that lends his services to few people. Due out on 10th June, we thought it only right that Pedram go into the mix for i-D, delving into his collection with a selection of sounds designed to enrich your mind, body and soul. Pre-order Cloned here and press play on the sounds of Pedram.
