Maybe you've been on a mad night out and peaked far too early, perhaps you're ducking out to crawl into bed with your lover, or maybe you've been working late at that job you hate and you've finally escaped out into the night. Whatever the situation - it's late, it's dark and you find yourself riding the last train home. Plug in, press play, and slip into a mix made especially for this moment. Watch the night fly by - dark characters and all - as you lose yourself with Berlin-based duo EVVOL. Previously known as Kool Thing, EVVOL hail from Ireland (Julie Chance) and Australia (Jon Dark) and make wonderfully bipolar music that explores the highs and lows, light and dark, of both music and life. As they prepare to release their debut album, Eternalism (due to drop 18th May via Mad Dog & Love Records) get to know the sound of EVVOL. Because everything needs a soundtrack.

Music to shift your mood from staying in to staying up all night…
Byron Stingily, Get up (Everybody). You could literally be in bed with a cup of tea and a hot water bottle. If this song comes on you're out the door and on a three-day bender.

Music for fiery arguments and emotional goodbyes...
Cat Power, Nude as the News. Particularly live, its just so pained and cathartic.

Music to kiss and make up to...
Bjork, Come To Me. We are obsessed with Bjork.

Music to heal a broken heart...
Angel Olsen, Burn Your Fire for No Witness. This whole album from start to finish is just so sad, and nothing heals a broken heart like letting all those feelings out.

Music to get high to...
Future Sound Of London, Lifeforms. The pinnacle drug album of our youth! Still sounds fresh today.

Music to change your night from mediocre to magnificent...
Midnight Magic, Beam Me Up (Jacques Renault Remix). It's the song that, when you hear it come on when you're in the toilets, makes you sashay right back into the middle of the dance floor.

Music to take a long drive to...
Joni Mitchell - Blue. The song writing on this album is exquisite, every single one is perfect, and the melodies are a dream for car sing-a-longs.

Music to walk down the aisle to...
Beyonce, Drunk in Love. LOL.

Music you'd like played at your funeral...
Fratres, Arvo Part. This piece is totally gut wrenching; really beautiful and really sad. For when you really wanna make people bawl.

Music to have sex to...
D'angelo, Voodoo. When we first met in Paris this was all we listened to!

Music to celebrate your birthday to...
Altered Images, Happy Birthday. Obvs!

Music guaranteed to give you serious swagger...
Wu-Tang Clan, Triumph.

Music to make even the wallflowers dance...
Lil Louis, Club Lonely. So good.

Music to play at the afterparty when it's 6am and the sun is beginning to rise...
Steffi, The Power of Anonymity. We love Steffi - probably one of the best DJs and producers coming out of Berlin right now.

Music that could put even an insomniac to sleep...
Elliott Smith, Either/Or …anything by Elliot Smith actually.
