The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air could be coming back to TV. Will Smith and his production company Overbrook Entertainment are reportedly working on a new version of the classic '90s sitcom, which will relocate the action to present-day LA while keeping the feel of the original series.

Running for six seasons between 1990 and 1996, The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air saw Smith playing a fictionalized version of himself who's sent to live with his wealthy aunt and uncle in one of LA's most desirable neighborhoods after getting into a fight on his local basketball court in West Philadelphia. The show's premise was famously spelled out in the show's earworm of a theme song. Smith would not appear in the new version, TVLine reports, but would serve as one its executive producers alongside wife Jada Pinkett-Smith. The project is said to be in its "very early stages" but Smith is preparing to pitch it to US networks shortly.
