@amberrose

Amber Rose is basically our number one girl crush right now. She's beautiful, really knows her memes, and is an outspoken feminist. Amber's spent 2015 reigniting a passionate public conversation about slut shaming, reclaiming the walk of shame and recently led a powerful SlutWalk in L.A. Plus, she's just written a book.

But apparently, that's not enough. Amber's past relationships continue to receive higher billing than her own achievements. A recent magazine profile described her as "Kanye's infamous ex", "Wiz Khalifa's baby mama" and a "megalomanic muse." Sure, you might've first seen her with Kanye West, but that was five years ago, and we're still talking about her now. These days, Amber uses her public profile to talk about feminist issues that really matter: her relationship are the least interesting thing you could mention about her.

Amber took to Instagram, delivering this critique of the profile.

Really @gq??? I'm so much more then Kanye's Ex or Wiz's baby's mama. Damn, why the fuck did u guys reach out to me for this article and photoshoot? To dumb me down? I talked about feminism and my Slutwalk... Wtf nice title smh I expected so much more from u guys and I'm so disappointed. I was so excited to be featured in GQ not realizing I was shooting for a tabloid. My slutwalk was for ignorant shit like this. Oh "Her beautiful dark twisted journey to the top"? Nice pun. Negative af. Thx for nothing.

The article took the time to point out that Amber was a "teen stripper." Channing Tatum, who also stripped as a teenager, has also been featured in GQ, though his past wasn't spotlighted. Amber pointed out this glaring double standard by sharing a picture of the pair, captioned "Channing Tatum #LegendaryTeenStrippers"
