kate moss is the face of charlotte tilbury's first fragrance
Scent of a Dream has been tried and tested by both women for 30 years.
Three years after launching her cosmetics and skin care line, with the intention of simplifying the often-confusing process of choosing make up, Charlotte Tilbury is launching her first fragrance. The perfume, Scent of a Dream, is inspired by an elixir she concocted over 30 years ago from raw materials found in her home town of Ibiza. It was a unique, sexy fragrance, which she has continued to wear and be complimented on since. The story goes she also gave a sample to her friend Kate Moss who thereafter deemed it her favourite fragrance also.
Fittingly, Kate is now the face of the Sølve Sundsbø shot campaign. A short film by Baillie Walsh is set to follow next month.
Re-created by celebrated perfumer Francois Robert, the fragrance contains all of the notes from her original including lemon, peach, black pepper, saffron, mandarin and bergamot, with notes of tuberose, jasmine, frankincense, violet, patchouli and a base of fire tree, Iso E Super, hedione and ambroxan. If you are open to smelling this deliciously complex concoction — and possibly being pursued by complete strangers keen to know what you're wearing — the scent will be available at charlottetilbury.com mid August.
