At last night's Screen Actors Guild Awards, Jeffrey Tambor was awarded the trophy for Actor for Outstanding Performance by a Male Actor in a Comedy Series for his performance as Maura Pfefferman on Amazon's Transparent.

His acceptance speech was incredibly moving, and he wrapped it up by noting that his character has plenty of money to fund her transformation and saying, "I'd just like to dedicate this award to the non-Maura Pfeffermans, who don't have a lot of cash, for their operations, for their medicine, for their freedom."

The veteran comic actor has also appeared on beloved shows like Larry Sanders and Arrested Development, and this is his very first SAG award.
