what went down at acne's sydney store opening

It's been 20 years since Swedish designer Jonny Johansson launched Acne Studios (an acronym for Ambitions to Create Novel Expressions) with 100 pairs of raw denim jeans, which he astutely gifted to friends and media. In the decades since, the label has become famous for its sturdy design, consistent staples, experimental eye and unwavering attitude, making its way into our hearts and wardrobes in the process.
To celebrate the launch of their new King Street store this week, Acne threw a party and Sydney's creative community emerged to mark the occasion. With music by sweetly-soulful street buskers Faye Zoey and Nathan Lagesse, the new, stainless steel-heavy space was well and truly warmed. Here's who turned up and what went down.
