In the days and weeks since Donald Trump first attempted to ban people from seven Muslim majority countries, as well as refugees, from entering the United States, creative communities have leapt into action to fight back against this tide of political extremism and xenophobia with messages of love and unity.

i-D's former Fashion Director and much loved contributor Edward Enninful OBE has created one such project, gathering 81 of the international fashion community's most recognisable faces for a defiant and proud short film, titled I Am an Immigrant. Brits abroad Grace Coddington and Jourdan Dunn are joined by designer Diane Von Furstenburg and models including Lineisy Montero, Lindsey Wixson, Maria Borges, Mica Arganaraz, Winnie Harlow, Ellen Rosa and Torraine Futurum.

"There is so much unrest in the world right now, I simply wanted to show how beautiful it could be if we all were able to get along," Edward Enninful tells i-D. "The message is that we are all the same. The people that gave their time to this project, from the director, the subjects, hair, makeup, casting and the team at W, all came with a message of love and optimism." Watch the full film, below.
