check out the latest spring/summer 16 campaigns
From Calvin Klein’s seductive Insta-babes to Acne’s gnarly surfers, here’s part five of the top spring/summer 16 campaigns.
Cashing in on their campaign stars Insta-appeal, Calvin Klein's spring/summer 16 campaign sees Justin Beiber, FKA Twigs, Abbey Lee, Adwoa Aboah, Kendall Jenner, Joey Bada$$, Kendrick Lamar, Princess Nokia and Fetty Wap among others sharing their own personalised campaign images on social media. Shot by Tyrone Lebon, it's a rose-tinted peek into the lives of the super-rich, super-talented and super-famous and what they get up to in #MyCalvins.
Once again featuring Canadian enfant terrible of the film world, Xavier Dolan (he also starred in the brand's autumn/winter 15 campaign and can be seen linking pinkies with Léa Seydoux at the UNICEF Ball presented by Louis Vuitton), and shot by i-D fave Alasdair McLellan, Louis Vuitton's spring/summer 16 menswear campaign show off Kim Jones' silk bombers and slim-cut slacks to dapper perfection.
Surf's up in Acne's first ever menswear campaign. Who knew the brand's Creative Director, Jonny Johansson, was obsessed with catching waves? For Acne's spring/summer 16 menswear campaign, Jonny, photographer and fellow surfer David Sims, and surfing pro Robin Kegel, headed down to Robin's studio in Biarritz, France to hit the water and shoot the images.
Following a video featuring Lady Gaga and a bunch of models doing their best Soul Train-inspired dance moves, Tom Ford released the images for his spring/summer 16 womenswear campaign, starring models of the moment Lucky Blue Smith, Mica Arganarez and Lida Fox. Both were shot by Nick Knight.
Shot by young up-and-comer Harley Weir, and styled by Joe McKenna, Christopher Kane's first ever brand campaign stars new face Alice Buckingham, and carries through the theme from the London designer's spring/summer 16 show,of "Crash and Repair", with intimate close ups placed next to pulled back shots.
Diesel Black Gold
Recognise that big concrete backdrop? That's probably because it's appeared in every Los Angeles-based movie and music video you can think of (Grease, Drive, Pharrell's Happy to name a few), and it's where Diesel Black Gold's Creative Director Andreas Melbostad decided to shoot his spring/summer 16 campaign. Starring Lexi Boling and Timur Muharemovic at the Sixth Street Viaduct, the sun-drenched images were shot by French photographer, Karim Sadli.
