Earlier this month, we heard a haunting 45 second snippet of David Bowie's Blackstar, as he lent his vocals to the opening credits of forthcoming TV series The Last Panthers. But thank your lucky Star(man): it's just been announced that the full version will be released as a single on November 20.

The track will also be on Bowie's new album, Blackstar, which will be released on the singer's 69th birthday - January 8, 2016. Thankfully, we've only been pining for fresh Bowie for two years this time; he kept us waiting a full decade between his albums Reality in 2003 and The Next Day in 2013 (which was released on his 66th birthday). Ziggy's on the rise again!
