Rex The Dog's new record sees him returning to his spiritual home of Cologne, with genre defining electronic label Kompakt. The Margaux Esclapez directed video for lead single You Are A Blade is a trippy turn through a dystopian dream world of fractured narratives, pastel lights, flaring strobes and meandering journeys. Starring Kristell Bannier stripping off and dancing to the throbbing minimal sounds of Rex The Dog. You Are A Blade is a slithering six minutes of restrained beauty, melding minor key arpeggios with pulsing drums and glistening stabs of synth.

"When I first listened to You Are A Blade, I had an impression of an absorbing speed progression," explains Margaux. "It made me remember when I was looking through the window in my parents' car coming back from a place by night; the lights were giving the outside a secret and mysterious look of a world inaccessible for a child."

"I really like the way Margaux describes the video," Rex The Dog says, "it sounds so innocent and I definitely identify with that kind of memory. But then in the actual video things are not so innocent! I love it, it's very beautiful and operates really well with the melody and the sound."
