Victoria Beckham never had the strongest voice in the Spice Girls, but we loved her just the same. Whatever the chicest, sharpest member of the group lacked in vocal range, she more than made up for with her keen sartorial eye. Nobody knows this better than Posh herself, who recently confessed she was more than aware of what she had to offer on stage.

During a conversation at London's National Portrait Gallery, Victoria admitted producers "used to turn [my microphone] off and just let the others sing." She was, nevertheless able to bide her time on stage. "Luckily because I used to wear heels, I just used to jig about a bit and I got away with it, but it never came easily. I was always much more reserved than the other girls."

Don't think Victoria's telling this story with a hint of sorrow. Now a respected figure in the fashion world, with her label approaching its tenth anniversary, she truly did move on up. "I got the last laugh—and now my mic is well and truly on, finally."
